The scenic veranda provides excellent spots.
The noise from the bar was disruptive, especially on music nights, making it difficult to sleep comfortably.

location is great to start a trip to cumberland island from there.
sometimes no contact person could be found. in the evening it was sometimes quite loud because of the pub downstairs in the house. if you want to join the party, you can quickly fall into bed afterwards; ). room was nostalgic and had flair, breakfast was o. k.

charming, charming, charming
I loved the unique antique ambiance that feels like stepping back in time! The scenic veranda overlooking the river provided a peaceful spot to relax, and the on-site bar was a good local hub with live music that really enhanced our experience. The staff was attentive and arranged delicious box lunches for our trip to the nearby island, showcasing a personal touch.
would recommend 😊❤️

an old-fashioned hotel with charm, where the ravages of time have already gnawed at a bit. not everything is 100% perfect, as one might expect. everything is very friendly and nice and location is super - we will be happy to come back!
at breakfast - as almost everywhere in the usa - most of the food was packed in plastic, did not fit the style of the house.

We had a really really nice stay by three nights.
Everything seemed pleasant, extremely polite staff, immaculate rooms. We liked rooms with a walk-in shower.

Just a solid selection for a short layover in Saint Marys with reasonable price. The staff was friendly and even prepared me a great meal despite the kitchen being closed. Try to avoid rooms facing the bar if you want quiet.

Location: the hotel was near to a lovely park beside St Marys river. Booked a room on the public balcony. Truly enjoyed our stay and location of the property, and will choose it for sure for next trip😀
No complaints.

Very well decorated room. Possibility of access to the outside space with rocking chair. Located on the waterfront.
The breakfast is poor and is installed in a corner of the reception. No fridge or household appliances in the rooms (although present in a common room).

would definitely return.
Cozy room with air conditioning, private bathroom, tv, and fresh linens. Loved the hardwood floors and the little touches like free toiletries and a hairdryer. The lobby felt inviting with its vintage decor. A fantastic porch overlooking the river made it a great spot to chill. Breakfast options were basic but fine.

Oh, where to start? The noise from the bar was unbearable-music woudl ve been tolerable if it didn't go on all night! And the breakfast was practically a letdown, how does a hotel this 'prestigious' not have a better spread? I expected a complimentary gesture for these inconveniences, but instead, I was just another regular guest.

Charming antique aesthetic enhances the experience.
Our room was noisy due to the bar downstairs. The mattress was lumpy, and the cleanliness left much to be desired, with stains on the walls and doors. I was disappointed by the lack of attentiveness from the staff, who seemed unmotivated and uninterested in addressing our concerns.

The view from the hotel is fine, especially if you score a river-facing room. The veranda offers a pleasant breeze, even in sweltering weather.
Noise levels from the bar below and the street can be disruptive at night. Some rooms come with less-than-clean sheets, and unexpected surprises like stained bedding aren't ideal. The charm of this historic spot is marred by its need for a facelift and better upkeep.
